About Free Invoice Generator

A straightforward invoice maker for freelancers, consultants and small businesses who want a clean PDF without creating an account or paying for accounting software. Fill in your details and the client's, add line items with quantity and rate, set a tax rate with whatever label you use (VAT, GST, sales tax), apply a discount as a percentage or a fixed amount, and choose from twelve currencies formatted the way each country writes them. The invoice builds itself on the right as you type, with your logo and accent colour, and downloads as a PDF through your browser's print dialog — so there is no watermark and no upload. Your draft is saved in your own browser, so you can come back and change the invoice number for the next one. Nothing is sent to a server.

How to use it

  1. Enter your business details (and a logo if you like), then the client's details, invoice number and dates.
  2. Add line items, set the tax label and rate, and any discount; pick the currency.
  3. Click Download PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. Your draft stays in this browser for next time.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. The invoice is rendered in your browser and printed to PDF by your browser, so there is nothing to upsell and nothing added to the page.

Where is my data stored?

Only in your browser's local storage on this device, so the form remembers your details. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing your browser data or clicking Clear form removes it.

Can I use it for GST or VAT invoices?

Yes. Set the tax label to GST or VAT and enter the rate; add your GSTIN or VAT number in your address block. For invoices that legally require specific fields (for example an Indian tax invoice with HSN codes), check your local rules — this tool gives you the layout, not tax advice.

How do I get a PDF instead of printing on paper?

In the print dialog choose "Save as PDF" (Chrome, Edge) or "Microsoft Print to PDF" (Windows) or the PDF option in the bottom-left menu (Safari). The page is set to A4 with sensible margins.

Can I add more line items or change the currency later?

Add as many lines as you need with the + Add line button, and switch currency at any time — all amounts reformat instantly.
